Living room/Kitchen area with window seat, attractive sea views, sofa and two chairs, smart TV, plenty of books and a dining table to seat four.The kitchen area has an all-new ceramic hob, built-in electric fan oven, fridge with icebox, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and a table with window seat for spectacular views out to sea. The living area has a comfy sofa, armchair, and Smart TV. There are books and games and it’s a lovely cosy space at night. The Wi-Fi is super fast throughout the property.
Stairs up to;
Bedroom 1 – The bedroom has two new single beds, a wardrobe with storage, and a small desk with a monitor that can be used for remote work, or writing a novel! The bedroom has a large window seat and views out to sea and over the harbour.
Adjacent shower room with an electric shower, hand basin, heated towel rail, WC., and a window with great views. Stairs up to;
Bedroom 2 – Stairs lead up to the bright and spacious master bedroom with an en suite bathroom. The bedroom has a wonderful new king-size bed, wardrobe, and a window seat or armchair for relaxing and looking out over the fantastic views. The en suite bathroom
En-suite bathroom which is light and airy and has a full-size bath with an electric shower, hand basin, heated towel rail, WC, and views out over the beach and harbour.
Although there is no outside space, the coastal path is right outside the front door!
In the main public car park at the entrance to the village (charges apply/cash only). Alternatively, Toad Hall Cottages have some spaces to rent on a first come, first served basis in the village - please enquire at time of booking.
There is also a local independent luggage taxi service available. If you would like your luggage delivered straight to your door. (charges apply)

Nestled along the dramatic South Cornish coastline between Looe and Fowey, the traditional fishing village of Polperro is rich in maritime history. Wandering its charming, narrow streets feels like stepping back in time, with whitewashed cottages and winding alleyways preserving the village’s old-world charm.
For centuries, “Polperro pilchards” were a vital trade, shipped across Europe. Today, the village still has an active fishing fleet, though their catch is more diverse. You can savor the freshest seafood at local restaurants, pubs, and cafés—or simply enjoy a classic crab sandwich while watching the fishermen at work in the harbor.
Polperro’s maze of twisting lanes is largely traffic-free, with many paths too narrow for modern vehicles. Visitors leave their cars at the main Crumplehorn car park and make their way into the village on foot, by shuttle bus, or even by horse and cart. This peaceful setting allows for a leisurely exploration of its hidden corners, where echoes of its smuggling past can still be felt.
During Polperro’s smuggling heyday, the village bustled with carts carrying illicit goods, while local women lined the streets knitting traditional fishermen’s “knit-frocks.” To dive deeper into its rich history, the Polperro Heritage Museum of Fishing and Smuggling offers fascinating exhibits.
The village and harbor are especially picturesque at high tide, but at low tide, a small beach appears—perfect for a quick paddle. The stunning South West Coast Path runs right through Polperro, offering scenic walks to Talland Bay, or further afield to nearby sandy beaches like Seaton, Downderry, Lansallos, and Lantic Bay. Boat trips from the harbor provide breathtaking views of the coastline, and you might even spot dolphins or seals along the way.
